Zoë Kramer

Zoë Seilin Kramer participated as singer and accompanist in the Sonora Bach Festival during its earliest years. She has  taught voice privately in the Sonora area since 1979 and at  Columbia College as a sabbatical replacement for John Carter. She received the B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz  (philosophy and mathematics) and the M.A. from  Stanford University (philosophy) and completed all requirements

A. A. in Forestry and Natural Resources at Columbia College after moving to the Mother Lode in 1973.  Her musical education includes twelve years of piano studies  beginning at age five and twelve years of voice training, principally with Elizabeth Spelts, professor emerita of the University of the Pacific.  Mrs. Kramer coached repertory with George Buckbee, professor emeritus of  UOP, and with the Carl Anton Wirth, founder of the Sonora Bach Festival  presenting  recitals of his original songs for  the Central Sierra Arts Council. She is a member of the  San Joaquin/UOP Chapter of the National Association of  Teachers of Singing (past Vice-President/Auditions and  twice President) and has been a member of the Sonora Bach Festival Board since 1999.
